Global events company is reshaping the way we attend conferences

Terrapin is holding a 24-hour marathon conference on the future of rail with more than 50 specialist speakers from all corners of the earth. Check out the agenda and line-up of speakers here.

Participants can join in online live or watch the sessions on-demand.

“There’s never been a more important time for the global rail industry to come together and learn how to survive and thrive in a post Covid-19 world,” according to the company’s pitch offering the first 1000 people to sign up a free ride.

Rail Virtual arrives at a time of unprecedented disruption, the organisers say. “The Covid-19 crisis has impacted passenger rail operations, placed intense pressure on freight supply chains and delayed project developments around the world.”

The first of its kind, this 24-hour virtual event will showcase how operators are innovating to endure and accelerating their digital transformation journeys to keep operations on-track.

“We’ll be broadcasting presentations and live interactive sessions from leading railway industry executives across the world.

Virtual meetings have become the new norm. You can select those you’d like to meet from the list of registered participants. The organisers then set up and host a 15-minute virtual meeting with you and your selected participants.

The world-wide line-up includes speakers, representing all aspects of the industry, from Egypt, Middle East, Europe, Africa, Australia to the European Space Agency and Investment Bank and light light rail in Hong Kong, Manila and India.

“Starting in APAC and moving through MEA, Europe and the Americas, we are selecting some of the most important operators and industry leaders from around the world to record 30 minute virtual talks sharing their insights and knowledge,” the company says.

“We have curated panels of 4-5 industry experts to debate some burning questions. You’ll be able to watch them live, pose questions to the panel and watch later on-demand.

Virtual roundtables is where it gets really interactive. Participant can join a virtual roundtable on a topic of your choice, then virtually meet, discuss and network with operators facing the same issues.
